Whisky Bread Pudding: Follow the same instructions and recipe as above, just add 1- 2 shots of whisky or scotch. This gives the pudding a wonderful taste, and, at the same time, is not too strong.

Of course, you can also use your favorite dessert liqueurs, like Grand Marnier, Pear Williams, Port, or whatever suits your fancy! Enjoy!

Peach Apricot Bread Pudding: Follow the same instructions as for the "classic" recipe above. Do not include cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Instead, add .75 cup sliced (or cubed) peaches and .75 cup sliced (or cubed) apricots. It's best if you peel the fruits. You can also use canned fruits. If you would like, you can add .25 cups of your favorite peach or apricot or liqueur or plum brandy. Enjoy!

Extra-Moist Apple Bread Pudding: Follow the same instructions as for the "classic" recipe above. Add 1 cup cubed apple and 1 cup applesauce. Enjoy!

Rhubarb Bread Pudding Recipe: Follow the same instructions as for the "classic" recipe above. Do not include cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Instead, add 1.5 cups cubed rhubarb. If you would like, you can also add strawberries! Enjoy!

Chocolate Bread Pudding: Follow the same instructions as for the "classic" recipe above. Do not include cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Instead, add 1 cup of chopped baking chocolate or chocolate chips. There's lots of room for creativity with chocolate bread pudding recipes… you can use any of your favorite chocolate bars (dark, milk, or white) or any of your favorite candy bars (heath bars or other toffees are particularly delicious). Also, don't forget about the irresistible combination of chocolate and bananas! Have fun and enjoy!

Very Berry Bread Pudding: Follow the same instructions as for the "classic" recipe above. Do not include cinnamon, nutmeg, and raisins. Instead, add 1.5 cups of your favorite assorted berries (blueberries, raspberries, currents, cranberries, strawberries, blackberries, and whatever other berry you can think of!). So, use your imagination and good sense and come up with some brilliant combinations. My favorite is blueberry/strawberry. It's delicious! Enjoy!

Serving Ideas:

You can serve your bread pudding recipes as is, or you can serve with a sauce on the side, or with a sauce poured on top.

Here are a few ideas: English cream sauce (crème anglaise), fruit sauces (such as a raspberry coulis), hot chocolate sauce (always a favorite!), or with vanilla ice cream (who would say no?).
